hiiii love, how are you?

On a less ‘here’s my work, and you should read’ tip or bio, in more honest words—I've been writing since I was fourteen. Feet perched in a scuffed charcoal-colored chair in the Jamaica Estates apartment I shared with my mother and sister. Feet perched in the backseat of an older family friend’s car, writing about feelings and thought bubbles that felt difficult to converse about more publicly—openly—physically. I still get my words caught in spin cycle when I speak, and writing has been my anchor since I was a child. I just didn’t know this language would still be something I’d love, years later.

I pray it is something each person loves, because words are precious, and to see them on paper is something we must appreciate. Thank you for coming across this page, I hope we have something in common.

Love always,

j.
